Point out King Darius' heartland
A sighted person will recognize the area, seeing other maps in his mind's eye; but the a blind reader will probably not recognize the area, it is just a blur with some lines and dots. The relief draughtsperson has to supply the data which are taken for granted by the mapmaker for the sighted: add a map 'present-day countries' in exactly the same outline, and name the surrounding areas in the historical map to give the blind reader about the same impression a sighted reader gets.
