For 'make-up' click to hear and 'eyeliner' the English words are used. There is a Dutch word cosmetica click to hear for 'make-up,' but it's a bit old-fashioned. Applying theatre make-up is called schminken click to
hear - a German word. The red powder for ladies' cheeks (blusher?) is called rouge click to hear 2 (French.)

Schoonheid click to hear 2 means 'beauty' - though in modern, Northern Dutch schoon click to hear itself now means 'clean.'
In the South of the Netherlands and in Belgium, schoon still means 'beautiful, pretty.'
For 'clean' Southern Dutch uses zuiver click to hear 2 - which in Northern Dutch means 'pure.'

Douche ('shower') and toilet ('toilet') are said as in French.
Shampoo is the Dutchified English word. 'SH' is not found in Dutch words.
The D in tandpasta click to hear ('toothpaste') is usualy dropped.
Not every Dutch bathroom has a toilet.
Waar is de WC? click to hear 2 Where is the bathroom?
In public places, a sign on that door may say 'Heren' (or old-fashioned 'Heeren') ('Gents') or 'Dames' ('Ladies')
WC-bril click to hear 2 ('toilet seat' - the usual meaning of bril click to hear is 'glasses, spectacles') - 'bike seat is' zadel click to hear 2 - which is of course from the same root as '(horse) saddle.'
