The Dutch no-nonsense attitude is also found in Dutch food. Dutch cuisine is not elaborate or refined. Lunch is often bread (open-faced sandwiches) with milk and/or coffee or tea, dinner is usually some meat, potatoes and vegetables. But there may be a nice snack at morning coffee or afternoon tea-time.
